Cursillo is a 3-day renewal weekend for all people, held at the Diocesan Retreat Center, DaySpring. If you are looking for an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Jesus’ teachings in a caring community, then please join us! The Cursillo weekend is followed by on-going support at Ascension as together we discover ways of living out our Baptismal vows. The next weekend is October 24th —27th. Sunday morning programs:
9:00am BREAKFAST!! Join us for great food and fellowship!
9:15am John's Revelation Bible Study with Father John Hiers & Alyce Goldsmith, in the workroom
10:15am Sunday school for our children BEGINS
Godly Play (ages 3, 4, 5, & 6 years old)
& Journeys (grades 1st—5th)
Our nursery is available for infants – 3 years, across the street; or we
have an area in the side chapel for the little ones
11:20am Sunday School for Middle School & High School
Middle School meets in the Green Room across the street
High School meets in the Youth Room across the street
11:30am Adult Education: St. John’s Gospel In the Parish Hall
with Father John Hiers & Sam Pilato
10:00am Gather for light refreshment and prayer; followed by small group studies. Tuesday Small group classes begin in the Parish Hall.

☧ Pilgrimage to Jordan/Jerusalem Revisited — We will explore our Old and New Testament roots as we revisit the sights and places our pilgrims visited this summer; in the Library with Alyce Goldsmith
☧ Book Study, William Wilberforce by Eric Metaxes —- Join Father John Hiers at The Oaks for this book study.
6:30pm Tuesday Evening Supper & Teaching, Pilgrimage Revisited: We will explore our Old and New Testament roots as we revisit the sights and places our pilgrims visited this summer. Join us as we remember together our rich heritage in story, pictures and teaching. In the parish hall with Father John Hiers & Alyce Goldsmith
6:30pm Pot-Luck Supper: bring a dish to share in the Parish Hall
7:00pm Pilgrim’s Way: Movie and discussion in the Workroom
7:00pm Choir Rehearsal in the Choir Room
6:30am Men’s Bible Study in the Parish Hall
10:30am Women’s Bible Study and Prayer in the Green Room

St. Teresa’s Guild
If you have been involved with ChristCare or Stephen’s Ministers ministries, this is a perfect opportunity for you!! Come join the women and men who bring communion and minister to those no longer able to participate in parish activities — our shut-ins, homebound, and hospitalized members. This is a special ministry of love and care. All are invited to join. Father Leo is chaplain to this wonderful ministry. For more information, contact Anne Jones (727-412-5505).
