A Prayer as we welcome Father Jim

Almighty God, we pray for guidance as we begin the next part of our journey with our new rector. We give thanks that through the power of the Holy Spirit, our search committee and vestry have called The Rev. Dr. Jim Sorvillo. Grant Father Jim and us all things necessary for our common life, and give us one heart and mind to bring the message of salvation to all people. Amen.

Who We Are

We are the Episcopal branch of the Jesus movement, and both our worship and our mission are in Christ’s name.  In Jesus, we find that the nature of God is love, and through baptism, we share in his victory over sin and death. We strive to love our neighbors as ourselves and respect the dignity of every person. By prayer, study and action, we discover who God calls us to be together.

What We Do

Through our actions, we strive to communicate the abundant love of Christ in the world. If what we do is not about love, it is not about God.  We are to bring hope and mercy to a broken world. Check the outreach opportunities in the back of the church or on our website.  Join us to bring God’s healing and reconciliation to our homes, community and our world.

What We Believe

We proclaim that Jesus Christ is Savior and Lord of our lives and our world. We believe that God is Creator of the heavens and earth. We believe the Holy Spirit dwells in us and makes us a child of God. We believe that God is not finished with us yet and that God is transforming us to be agents of healing and forgiveness in our home, our community and our world.
