Ascension works to help elementary school kids to develop spiritually, emotionally, and socially into all that God created them to be. We partner with parents to provide foundational Bible learning with a focus on developing a strong relationship with Jesus.
Through youth groups, Vacation Bible School, and our Journeys Program, we encourage kids to grow in their faith and develop an understanding of the foundational principles of Christianity.
Youth Group
The fourth- and fifth-grade Youth Group allows our youth to begin making connections with God and with each other. Fun activities and fellowship, plus service to our church and community, make this a fun time to grow. Our youth group will begin meeting again in September.
Journeys
Journeys is a program of Christian education for first- through fifth grades. It begins after the children’s story during the 10 a.m. service.
Vacation Bible School
Church of the Ascension is a partner with both Peace Memorial Church and First United Church to conduct a Vacation Bible School for children. We rotate the location among the churches each summer.
