Transitioning to a young adult has its ups and downs. Our ministry is designed to engage kids in meaningful conversations, connect with peers on challenging topics, and discuss relevant content for their current situation.
Middle school is a critical time for the development of students. It is often when young people embrace God for themselves as they explore what a personal relationship with Jesus looks like.
Ascension cares about its middle schoolers and wants to help them discover God in new ways through relationships, fun, and biblical teaching.
If you’re a middle school student, please consider joining us on Sunday morning or at Youth Group on Sunday afternoon.
Youth Group
The Middle School Youth Group will begin meeting again in September. During youth group we have lunch, work on outreach activities, play games, and go places locally to have fun.
Outreach Projects
The middle school participates in a summer bonding trip to Tennessee, North Carolina, or Georgia yearly. They participate in several outreach activities at the church including the Angel Tree, helping with Vacation Bible School, cooking the Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas caroling, and making capes for children at the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital.
