Carillon Concert

Valentine’s Carillon Concert

3pm Sunday Feb. 11

Music to love by, with visiting artist Annie Gao, a carillonist and software engineer from Southern California.

Annie began her carillon studies in the Yale University Guild of Carillonneurs, where she took lessons from Ellen Dickinson and was Co-Chair in her final year. She completed her GCNA Carillonneur exam in 2020 and graduated from Yale in May 2021 with a combined B.S./M.S. in Computer Science.

In 2022-2023, she had the tremendous privilege of studying with Geert D’hollander as the Blanchard Carillon Fellow at Bok Tower Gardens. This year, she is studying with Eddy Mariën and Boudewijn Zwart as a Fellow of the Belgian American Education Foundation at the Royal Carillon School in Mechelen, Belgium.

In her free time, Annie enjoys competitive ping pong, puzzles and brainteasers, good reads, and opportunities to explore and improve her fascinatingly bad sense of direction.

Bring your sweetie!

This outdoor concert under our 49 bronze bells features refreshments and a fire pit. A carillon concert is the only concert where you can talk, listen, drink and eat without disturbing others!

The event is finished.
